The one cent piece, commonly called the penny, is the most valuable coin of all!
Even so, congress has talked of abolishing this precious coin. The real value of a one cent piece can't be calculated based on it's material, weight, or economic exchange rate.

Not all pennies are equal. A priceless penny is one that is randomly discovered on the street, the sidewalk, or a parking lot. This special penny will always be laying with the Lincoln smile showing (okay, so Lincoln isn't really smiling, I just wish he were). This is what is known as a "lucky penny." If you happen upon one, stop whatever it is you are doing, bend down, pick up the one-center and immediately place it in your right shoe.
This act is guaranteed to make you smile and smiles are indeed priceless. Try it!
P.S. Empty lucky pennies out of your shoe each evening. Save them in a special "lucky penny" bank. Too many pennies in one shoe could be hazardous.

Now that class is over, I finally found a lucky penny! It was at the $.99 store. I guess someone dropped their change :) I put it in my shoe, and didn't even try not to smile. I grinned like a goof-ball all day! What a nice way to end the semester.

I have to say that my "lucky pennies" tend to arrive in the form of random flowers, dropped buttons, and/or stellar finds at a thrift store.
Wherever they might happen to pop up, I still grin like the larkish boy I am happy to be.
Thanks for making me ever more mindful of just how important that is.
